We Are Applied Leadership Coaching
Executive Leadership Coaching
ALC is the realized dream of owner and founder Tim Gustafson. The awareness of the dream began in 2006, during his executive leadership coaching training from the accredited program at the prestigious Georgetown University. The opportunity to transition into full-time coaching came in 2015, and Gustafson has not looked back. He has received the professional certification (PCC, Professional Certified Coach) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Prior to Applied Leadership Coaching, Tim had an illustrious leadership and project management career. He has 35+ years of experience in leading complex, cross-functional programs and projects, and leading teams.
Helping Others Succeed
ALC was founded with the mission to help leaders become more successful. Our focus is to bring about positive change for individuals, their teams, companies, families, and communities. This is what we do.

Tim Gustafson has over 30 years of experience in leading and/or coaching teams. Following a corporate career of managing groups of 5-200, budgets up to $350M, and small projects to very large programs, Tim found his “calling” as an executive leadership coach. A trusted and fluid coach, Tim’s passion is “helping others succeed.” His individual/team coaching and group facilitation skills are focused on the end result in a way that develops “inside-out” learning for leaders. He cuts through complexity, simplifying and bringing clarity and focus to senior leaders and teams. His disarming yet challenging style provides an opportunity for engagement, drives change, and ultimately improved business performance.
His extensive experience — as a coach and leader — has shaped his unique perspective on methodologies for successful leadership. The foundation of Tim’s coaching centers around the premise that knowledge and skills already exist within an individual. He helps to bring those out by developing and creating self-awareness through discovery, experiences, introspection, recovery, accountability, goal-setting, and intentional approaches to leadership and life.
In an ever-increasingly complex business environment, leaders must grow and develop first by setting an example in leading forward. Tim has lived through these challenges and brings this insight into the dynamics of organizations.
